1 What is The Skin Institute of Atlanta?
The Skin Institute of Atlanta is the premiere training academy for Post Graduate Classes, Advanced Skincare Education, and Business Workshops. Classes and workshops are open to actively licensed estheticians and cosmetologists only. Private classes are available by request and are subject to an additional surcharge. In addition to classes, The Skin Institute of Atlanta is also a provider of professional esthetics supplies and distributor for Esthetician’s Choice, ClearChoice, and Prana SpaCeuticals.

2 Where is The Skin Institute of Atlanta located?
The Skin Institute of Atlanta is located in the Dunwoody/Perimeter area, about 20 minutes north of downtown Atlanta. When driving, take the Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd exit from I-285. The Skin Institute of Atlanta is one mile off the exit. If taking the MARTA train, take the North Line and exit at Perimeter Station or Sandy Springs Station. It is recommended to then take a short rideshare option from the train station to the facility located at 1770 Old Springhouse Lane, Suite 100 Atlanta, GA 30338.

3 What are the hours of operation for The Skin Institute of Atlanta?
The Skin Institute of Atlanta operates during scheduled class times only. All other times, The Skin Institute of Atlanta is closed. Register for classes online at www.theskininstituteatl.com.

4 Do you offer a Certificate of Training for classes?
Upon successful completion of a class, an official Certificate of Training will be provided.

6 What is the cancelation/reschedule policy for classes?
Payments for classes are non-refundable. An attendant may cancel their class after booking, but class registration fees will be forfeited. Rescheduling is not allowed. Attendants should attend class on the booked date of registration. If an attendant is late to a class, the Director of Education reserves the right to cancel the registration.

7 What if I can’t find a model for class?
Each attendant must bring a model for class, where specified. Attendants are not allowed to work on other attendants in the class. Working on a live model is essential for hands-on practice and allows attendants the opportunity to demonstrate concepts learned during class. Attendants are encouraged to use fellow estheticians, friends, family, and clients as models. After registration is complete, a conformation email will be sent with instructions for the model’s arrival.

8 Do I need skincare liability insurance to attend classes?
If a model is required for the class, attendants must have an active skincare liability insurance policy. Proof will be required during registration. ASCP is a leading provider of skincare liability insurance and a policy can be purchased at www.ascpskincare.com.

9 For the classes with kits, is there a list of contents?
At The Skin Institute of Atlanta, we pride ourselves on creating kits that contain all of the products needed to perform the specified treatments. Rest assured that while we do not publish the contents of our kits, the contents are comprehensive and include high quality products and tools.

10 Why do you no longer offer eyelash extensions, microblading, spray tanning, cosmetic laser training or threading?
The Skin Institute of Atlanta no longer offers training for eyelash extensions, microblading, spray tanning, cosmetic laser training, or threading. Instead, we have chosen to focus on skincare classes that do not require significant investment or equipment. As we receive feedback from out attendants, class topics will be evaluated and updated. 11 How do I purchase professional esthetics supplies?
To purchase professional esthetics supplies, create an account online at www.theskininstituteatl.com. To create an account, an active esthetics license, cosmetology license, or salon business license must be uploaded. After an account is approved, wholesale pricing will be available.

12 Are group rates/discounts available for businesses or large groups of attendants?
There are no discounts or group rates available. Each attendant must register individually and pay the specified class registration.
